Database on trial: Anthropology Plus

Anthropology Plus database by EBSCO is now available for a test use period between Feb 3 – March 3.

Comprehensive Indexing for Anthropology Research

Anthropology Plus is an extensive resource designed for both education and research in anthropology and related disciplines. It combines indexing from two key anthropology databases:

    • The Anthropological Index Online from the Royal Anthropological Institute
    • Anthropological Literature from the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard University

Anthropology Plus provides global indexing of both major and lesser-known journals, spanning from the 18th century to the present. It includes a wide array of sources such as journal articles, reports, commentaries, edited volumes, and obituaries.

Multilingual Coverage

Content in Anthropology Plus is regularly updated with new records every month, encompassing more than 50 languages. This includes English, German, Romance languages, Slavic languages, and Asian languages, provided summaries are available in one of the indexed languages.

Currently, the database includes 1,200,000 records.
