May is The European Diversity Month.
The purpose of Diversity Month is to notice and value the importance and uniqueness of each person both in the work environment and in society at large. By diversity, we mean that people differ from each other in their appearance, origin, interests and activities, choices and abilities, but we all have the same human dignity.
This year, we celebrate people in all their diversity, and instead of differences, we find similarities to build bridges between people. We believe that stories, empathy and human experiences help build bridges.
In the Study Centre, we have prepared a book exhibition, which will be on display until the end of June. All selected books come from the library’s main collection and can be borrowed on an ongoing basis.
