Exhibition: “Historical Scientific Instruments in Service of Today”

How does an induction hob work? Where did neon lighting originate? How did people manage without Spotify in the 19th century?

You can find answers to these and many other questions at an exhibition where old experimental and demonstration devices offer a window into the history of science and technology. These former teaching aids are the predecessors of many objects we use daily and reflect the continuity of the physical world through time.

Come and discover how the past lives on in the present!

The exhibition is open in the gallery on the 1st floor of the Research Library until 8 May.

The exhibition texts were created in collaboration with TLU students as part of the project- and problem-based learning course ELU (Interdisciplinary Innovation).
