Dear first-year student, welcome!

Our university library is an integral part of your studies, providing everything you need for successful learning and self-development. Here are some important things you should know:

1. The library is much more than just books We have two locations: the Research Library (Rävala Ave. 10) and the Study Centre (Narva Rd. 29, A205). Our collections include not only textbooks but also everything else needed for research and study. You can find physical resources in the online catalogue ESTER, and access e-databases with your Tallinn University email account –  everything you need is just a click away.

2. Study smart and plan your time wisely The library offers quiet individual and group study rooms, as well as cozy areas where you can focus or exchange ideas with peers. Plan your time effectively by using these different spaces according to your needs.

3. Feel free to ask for help Our friendly librarians and subject specialists are always ready to assist you. Do you have questions about finding resources or need guidance on how to use research databases or reference management software? Don’t hesitate to ask – we’re here to support you!

4. Use resources conveniently  Register as a reader to easily borrow books and reserve rooms. If needed, extend return deadlines, and if the book you want is already checked out, you can join the waiting list.

The library is here to support your studies.

See you at the library!
