From 25 November, the Study Centre of Academic Library of Tallinn University (room A205) will be open daily from 9:00 to 21:00 for members of the university.
To access the Study Centre, you need a valid library card for the Academic Library of Tallinn University. Creating an account is straightforward: if you have an ID card, Smart-ID, or Mobile-ID, simply complete the online registration form. If online registration is not possible, you can fill out a paper registration form at the information desk of the Research Library (Rävala Ave. 10).
You can check the validity of your account in My ESTER, where you can also renew an expired account if needed.
Please note that after creating or updating your account, it takes approximately five minutes for the information to sync with the Study Centre’s access control system. To enter, scan the barcode of your personal identification code from the back of your ID card using the card reader located to the left of the Study Centre entrance. If you have a separate library card, scan its barcode instead.
All university staff can use their staff card to access the Study Centre. To enter, simply tap your card on the reader located to the right of the door.
Access via the card system allows for extended opening hours, providing more flexible opportunities for study and research. In the future, the Study Centre will be open only to university staff and students, while the Research Library (Rävala Ave. 10) will remain accessible to all readers.
On the last Thursday of each month, the Study Centre will open at 16:00 due to internal systematization works.
If you need assistance, the Study Centre service desk is available on weekdays from 9:30 to 16:30.
